PROPOSALS

The homeowner sees a document. You see the same object you priced.

Proposals are built from the takeoff, not typed after it. Change the scope and the proposal moves with it.

WHERE IT COMES FROM

You are not rebuilding the quote.

Attach a quote to a proposal section and the lines come across with their quantities, units, and totals. Siding, roofing, and windows can sit in the same document as separate scopes.

Add a section heading, add a line by hand, remove what the homeowner does not need to see. The underlying quote does not change.

Because the proposal and the purchase order come off the same takeoff, the number the homeowner signs is the number you can order against.

GOOD, BETTER, BEST

Give them something to choose between.

Build more than one version in the same proposal. Different material, different scope, different price, each one complete.

The homeowner picks one and signs it. Tekdek records which option was selected, and the signed PDF contains only what they chose.

A homeowner deciding between your options is a different conversation than a homeowner deciding whether to hire you.

THE DOCUMENT

It looks like your company sent it.

Your logo, your colors, your contact information. Scopes grouped with line items, quantities, and totals.

You control what shows. Section subtotals, line totals, and the investment breakdown are each yours to turn on or off. Labor can appear as its own line or fold into the material price as an installed cost.

The same document renders as a web page and as a PDF from one source, so what the homeowner opens on his phone matches what lands in his inbox.

GETTING IT SIGNED

At the table or from the driveway.

Sign in person on your device while you are standing in the kitchen. Or send a link and let them sign from their phone that evening.

The signature is captured in the document itself, not on a separate page that breaks the flow.

When it is signed, the homeowner gets the signed PDF, you get a notification, and the rep who sold it gets one too. The job moves forward without anyone forwarding anything.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

A signed proposal is not the end of the job.

The purchase order comes off the same takeoff, with real order codes. The job carries projected revenue and cost from the proposals you selected. When the vendor invoice comes back, actual material cost lands beside what you projected.

Most software treats the signature as the finish line. It is the point where you find out whether the number was right.
